The Big Bang, July 28, 1999

Saw the FreeServers banner and checked it out. I've got a Geocities page called Gearphile's Garage (Playstation game reviews, movies, babes) and considered moving it, but then decided to just start a new page to test drive the FreeServers set-up. So far, I'm pleased with it.

Constellation [o n e] mapped, July 30, 1999

Finished layout for constellation [o n e], comprising Natalie Portman and Larisa Oleynik. Chose a new picture of Natalie (from "www.natalieportman.com") for the Home Page.

Picture book feature, August 6, 1999

Found a JavaScript by Infohiway Inc for an image book with buttons which don't need clicking. I thought it was neat, so I modified it to put together the Natalie Portman picture book. Placed the link in Natalie's section on the constellation [o n e] page.

Had to fix some bugs from the picture book page and correct a faulty link to infohiway.com.

Larisa's book, August 10, 1999

Added the Larisa Oleynik picture book.

New pictures, August 17, 1999

Added two new pictures to each book. Resized all pictures using the free Image Magick Studio online. It's an awesome tool. The picture book pages load quicker now.

Emergence of constellation [two], October 14, 1999

The formation of constellation [two] begins with Sarah Michelle Gellar (picture book ready as well). For navigating to the different constellations, I made the jumpgate page. I picked up the "jumpgate" term from the Playstation game, Colony Wars. "Wormhole" and "portal" were earlier considerations. Revised the s-a-s poll.

Upgradus Majorus, October 29, 1999

Over the last several days, I've been doing a lot of upgrading. Added filmographies (except for SMG's) and clickable data boxes above each picture book. Posted links and/or voting buttons for the indexing sites below each picture book. Shelled out for the no-advertising upgrade from Freeservers, thereby eliminating some glitches caused by auto-refresh. Made my own banner (I'll set it up on a separate page for download and linking). Lastly, joined the Next Card affiliate program. Hope you enjoy the improvements. Don't worry, this update log will receive the archiving treatment real soon.
